Embark on a 13-Day Journey Through Sacred Ancient Egypt

Step through the sands of time on a 13-day journey into the heart of ancient Egypt guided by David Sunshine and Jen Estevez. This immersive experience invites you to explore Egypt's most powerful temples, monuments, and landscapes with time for reflection, meaningful conversation, and simple ritual woven naturally into each day.

You'll stay in high-quality 5-star hotels and visit the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum. The journey includes an intimate 7-day / 6-night Nile cruise aboard a traditional Dahabya sailboat, allowing access to smaller villages and lesser-visited ruins that large cruise ships cannot reach.

The itinerary features exclusive private entry into key sites including the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Osireion, and the Temple of Isis at Philae. The journey concludes with two nights in the Fayoum Oasis, an ideal setting to slow down, integrate the experience, and rest.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Cairo

Arrive in Cairo, welcomed into the ancient land of the pharaohs. After settling into the Hilton Hotel Cairo, participate in an orientation setting the spiritual tone for the entire tour. Connect with the group, share intentions and learn about the profound mythology of Isis, the Great Mother goddess.

Day 2

The Great Pyramids

Visit the Great Pyramids, the only ancient wonder still standing. See the 2nd and 3rd pyramid and the 9 pyramids in the Giza plateau. See the valley temple of King Khephren and the Great Sphinx. Afternoon at the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum.

Day 3

Saqqara and Dahshur Pyramids

Journey to Saqqara, home of Egypt's first pyramid. Explore the Step Pyramid of Djoser and the earliest Pyramid Texts. Continue to Dahshur to visit the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid — a more intimate experience with ancient Egypt.

Day 4

Cairo's Religious Heritage

Explore the Citadel of Salah El Din, the Alabaster Mosque, Coptic churches, and the Jewish temple in Old Cairo. Walk Al Moezz street and visit the historical bazaar Khan El Khalili. Evening flight to Aswan.

Day 5

Isis Philae Temple

Pre-dawn private visit to the Philae Temple on Philae Island, home to the beautiful temple complex dedicated to Isis — the last active ancient Egyptian temple. Continue to the High Dam and Lake Nasser. Board the Dahabya sailboat.

Day 6

Abu Simbel Temples

Watch sunrise illuminate the colossal statues of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. Explore both the Great Temple and the smaller temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari and Isis. Board a traditional Dahabya sailboat for a 7-day Nile cruise.

Day 7

Kom Ombo Temple

Sail downstream to Kom Ombo, the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus. Continue sailing, visiting smaller villages and lesser-visited ruins that large cruise ships cannot reach.

Day 8–11

Nile Cruise

Cruise the majestic Nile aboard the intimate Dahabya. Visit Luxor, Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and Hatshepsut's Temple. Exclusive private entry into key sites.

Day 12

Osireion & Temple of Hathor

Visit Abydos and the Osireion — a mysterious underground temple of Osiris. Continue to Dendera to behold the spectacularly preserved Temple of Hathor, with rare zodiac ceiling reliefs.

Day 13

Fayoum Oasis & Departure

Two nights in the Fayoum Oasis, a quiet desert region known for its lakes, open skies, and ancient whale fossils. An ideal setting to slow down, integrate the experience, and rest before departure.
